My Weird Morning Routine
Woke up around 7:30 AM, feeling kinda bleh like usual. Grabbed my phone before I even drank water, bad habit I know. Scrolled through notifications and saw an app alert: “Your Daily Taurus Horoscope!” Honestly, I usually swipe these away. But for some reason today, maybe bored, I tapped it. Said April 3rd is a good day for “grounding energy” or something. Whatever.
Then I spotted the “lucky color” part. Emerald Green. Huh. Okay. So I figured, why not actually try this out? I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? Make it a dumb little experiment for the blog.

First thought: What the heck is emerald green? Is it just… green? Felt too vague. Did the absolute first thing anyone would do: Googled “emerald green” on my phone while still lying in bed. Images popped up. Some looked super dark forest, others way brighter like a jewel. Felt confusing.
- Checked my closet: Rolled out of bed and opened my closet doors. Flipped through shirts, pants… mostly blues, blacks, greys. Definitely no bright greens staring back at me.
- Found something: Buried in the back, almost forgotten, was this short-sleeve button-up shirt. Not quite the jewel green from Google images. More like a faded, kinda dusty green? But hey, it was the greenest thing I owned. Called it “close enough.”
- Zero matching skills: Realized I have basically zero clothes that match green nicely. Picked some dark jeans – figured those go with anything. For shoes? My scuffed old brown boots. Not ideal, but only brown pair I own.
Wearing the “Luck” (Or Trying To)
Showered, dressed. Put on the dusty green shirt. Looked in the mirror. Felt… silly. Like I was trying too hard with this color I never wear. But committed to the bit. Just normal day stuff: worked from home answering emails, filmed a quick clip for another project about budgeting (felt kinda ironic), walked to the corner store for snacks.
The Moment of “Truth”? Honestly? No magical wins landed in my lap. Didn’t find money on the sidewalk. Boss didn’t email a surprise bonus. Snack run was totally normal.
The Aftermath & Weird Feels
Ended the day watching TV. Thought about this whole lucky color business. Here’s the weird part: even though nothing lucky obviously happened, it kinda made the day a little less boring? Maybe just paying attention to something random. Or maybe believing something might happen made me notice smaller things?
Found myself noticing green things more all day – leaves on a tree outside my window, a car that drove by, some weird packaging on a product at the store. Didn’t change anything, just… noticed it.
So yeah, wore green today because a horoscope said so. Felt strange wearing it. No lottery wins. But it was a weirdly focused distraction. Like a mini-game for the day. Kinda fun in a pointless way? Would I do it again? Maybe next time they pick a color I actually own more of. Or maybe blue.
