How Taurus Horoscope Tarot Reading Works (Quick Guide for Beginners)

So last weekend I finally decided to try combining tarot cards with my Taurus horoscope after seeing it all over Instagram. Grabbed my dusty Rider-Waite deck from the bookshelf and opened Co–Star on my phone first thing Saturday morning. Right off the bat, my horoscope said something about “financial stability getting challenged”—kinda stressed me out immediately if I’m being honest.

The Setup Part

Cleared off my kitchen table since my office desk was covered in coffee mugs. Lit this cheap vanilla candle from Target, figured it might help me focus. Spread out that faded purple cloth that came with the deck forever ago. Almost tripped running back to grab my Taurus birth chart notes from my nightstand drawer. Classic me, never prepared ahead of time.

How I Actually Did the Reading

Started by shuffling those cards FOREVER while staring at my Taurus horoscope on my phone screen. Kept dropping cards everywhere—of course. Pulled three cards face down in a row after finally feeling “ready-ish.” Turned ’em over one by one:

  • First card: Five of Pentacles. Showed two people walking in snow looking broke AF. Immediately thought about that “financial challenge” from my horoscope. Goosebumps moment right there.
  • Second card: The Emperor. Big throne guy looking serious. Made sense ’cause Tauruses love being the boss (guilty). Felt like it was telling me to take charge instead of panicking.
  • Third card: Two of Cups. Two people clinking cups like besties? Total whiplash from the first card! Guessed it meant collaborations could fix money issues.

Connecting Cards to My Taurus Stuff

Stared at the cards ’til my eyes crossed trying to link ’em to my stubborn Taurean traits. Realized the Five of Pentacles mirrored Taurus’ money obsession panic, The Emperor matched our control-freak nature, and that Two of Cups? Probably our secret soft side wanting help but never admitting it. Kinda shocked how well it lined up honestly.

What I Messed Up (LOL)

Total beginner mistakes happened:

  • Kepy checking phone notifications mid-reading
  • Forgot to ask clear questions upfront
  • Spent 20 minutes overthinking reversed cards before realizing I’d shuffled upside-down

Still got chills when the cards basically shouted “CALM DOWN TAURUS” about money stuff though. More useful than I expected!

If you’re new at this like me? Just grab whatever deck’s handy, don’t overthink horoscope connections, and ignore reversed cards ’til you stop dropping them. Even us skeptical bulls might feel something.
