So last week I got this wild idea – why not try making monthly horoscope predictions myself? Saw tons of folks doing it online and thought, “Hey, how hard could it be?” Specially for Taurus folks like myself! Figured I’d share the messy, totally human journey of how this went down.
The “Why Not?” Idea Phase
Started simple. Grabbed my laptop way too late on a Tuesday night, fired up a fresh Google Doc titled “Taurus Month Test Run – Don’t Judge”. My brain was buzzing with vague stuff: “Uh… stability stuff? Finances? Love?” Pretty much every horoscope cliché. Didn’t feel right. Felt like I was just copying everyone else.
Fumbling for Sources
Okay, needed some actual meat. Decided to look at what real astrologers were chatting about for May, specifically planetary positions affecting Taurus. Went down a serious rabbit hole. Found blogs, checked some forums where people took this stuff seriously. Major planets involved? Jupiter hanging in Taurus, Pluto doing… something. Copied notes like crazy into my doc – dates, positions, general vibes associated with those signs and planets.
- Step 1: Panic research on Taurus traits. Yeah, stubborn, loves comfort, good with money (hopefully!).
- Step 2: Stared blankly at planetary transit charts. Squinted hard. Found free tools online showing where Jupiter & Pluto were moving.
- Step 3: Tried to map my notes onto typical Taurus life areas: work, cash, relationships, self-care.
The “Wait, This Is Nonsense” Moment
Looked at my messy notes. Had dates, planets, keywords. Felt like trying to cook a gourmet meal with random fridge scraps. Jupiter transiting Taurus apparently meant… expansion? Growth? But Taurus loves steady – so maybe conflicting vibes? Pluto retrograde supposedly asks for deep inner digging. My attempt to phrase it: “Expect to feel some friction between wanting security and unexpected chances to grow big. Might feel intense! Dig deep inside, figure out your real power bases.” Read it back. Sounded confusing. Wasn’t sure this clicked.
Running It Past Real Humans
Knew my judgment was fried. Sent that messy first prediction draft to two Taurus friends and my sister (Gemini, but she likes horoscopes). My instruction: “Be brutal. Does this sound like Taurus stuff? Does it make ANY sense?” Waited nervously. Got responses:
- Friend 1: “The friction part feels real. Always battling the ‘play it safe’ vs ‘go for it’ thing.”
- Friend 2: “The deep inner digging with Pluto – eesh, heavy but kinda true? Taurus avoids that sometimes.”
- Sister: “It’s wordy. Trim it. But yeah, stability vs growth is totally Taurus central.”
Okay! Validation! Tweaked it based on their reactions – made it simpler, focused that “friction” feeling.
Putting It Out There (My Version)
Final draft felt… plausible? Wrote up the “prediction” explaining:
- Expect opportunities that push you out of your cozy comfort zone (thanks Jupiter).
- Feeling friction between grabbing that new thing and staying comfortable? Yeah, that tracks.
- Pluto’s retrograde digging urges you to look at what truly gives you power (not just cash, but real foundation).
Shared it not as some cosmic truth, but as my experiment: “Tried making a Taurus prediction based on transits – this is what I came up with, curious what resonates?” Way less pressure that way. Posted it on my usual blog space.
So, What Happened?
Honestly? Surprised. Got way more comments than expected! Mostly from Taurus folks saying stuff like: “That friction feeling is SPOT ON right now,” or “Literally arguing with myself about a new job offer that’s scary but exciting – you nailed that.” Some folks even messaged me privately asking for other months! Learned a ton, mostly that interpretation is hard but connecting the cosmic dots in a practical Taurus way is possible. Will I do next month? Gotta think about that… it was tougher than it looked!
